If Chad Dawson wants to become the next superstar...

He needs to move up, AFTER a Johnson rematch of course.

    Why do you think that?

Move up? You mean move DOWN to 168, thats where the bigger fights are and he can move down im sure.. He's not really a natural light heavyweight.

No, he needs to move down into a stacked Super Middleweight division. Dawson already beat the best Cruiserweight and besides his frame is small. I think he could make SMW easy.

Moving up between lhw and cruiserweight is a BIG jump these days and I honestly think that Dawson could make 168 right now if he wanted.

You get the money and become a superstar by beating credible opponents. Look at Tomasz Adamek, look at how consistent he fights, he doesn't get the exposure but he gets good money from all the Poland fans that come to see him fight. He's beating every good opponent in cruiserweight, it's not a deep division, doesn't matter because he's cleaning out the division.

Dawson would become a superstar even if he stays in LHW forever. If he cleans out the division (by beating every good opponent) that will make him a rich superstar.

If Froch can't get a good fight, Dawson should move down and challenge him

He would be better off at 168 to be honest. What would make him a superstar would be changing from a reserved fighter to one with killer instinct, but that isn't likely to happen. He'll be the best fighter in the division at 168 or 175, he just won't be a fan favorite because he is too comfortable winning decisions rather than trying to be exciting.

or clean out the LHW division, Wladimir is doing it in the heavyweight division.

I only bring up 168 because there are more big name fighters there then at 175 aside from Hopkins and Calzaghe but I don't think either of those fights are going to happen.
