Hes been sitting out for a title shot. Bad move imo. Especially if Dawson decides to fight him and Cloud fights on a one year plus layoff -
He's been waiting for Dawson while remaining inactive which is his fault. Dawson deserves a voluntary defense and he should fight Glen Johnson first, than Cloud.Comment

Have you seen this fool fight? He's just being realistic.. he knows another fight would just risk his big payday. I'm sure he doesn't imagine that he'll get past Dawson.. he's not very skilled. A hard puncher with decent speed- nothing more. But idk if Dawson is going to fight Cloud now that HBO is in the picture- they are pushing a big fight.Comment

He's sitting on a mandatory shot that is never going to happen.
IMO he's wasted all of the momentum he had coming off of the Gonzalez fight. Realistically, he hasn't earned any consideration with his suspect choice of opposition but he did look promising in beating the crap out of Gonzalez.
Still, he hasn't fought and his disinterest in fighting quality opposition in the interim (like Sergio Martinez has) leaves to wonder if his team knows something they don't want us to know.Comment

I thought it would've been nice if Cloud could've fought Glen Johnson on the Tarver-Dawson undercard. I think Johnson would have won, but it would have cleared a few things up. Waiting on a title shot for Dawson is crazy, he's already shown that he doesn't mind vacating titles for big fights and if HBO pays him a lot of money for the Johnson fight and he vacates the title, then Cloud has essentially been sitting around his house, playing with his kids for a year for absolutely no reason.Comment
