Why is Chad Dawson so boring?

I think he's reticent to take chances because of his familiarity with the canvas. He has many times in his career overextended himself trying to capitalize on an advantage and left himself open to a punch he shouldn't have taken.

Guys like BJ Flores, Wladimir Klitschko and others have adapted safety first styles to compensate for their subpar punch resistences.

Still, I thought he took more chances than he had to in this fight to press advantages but realized midway through this fight that he didn't have the clout to get Tarver out of there.

I don't think Dawson's chin as bad some people think it is. In the toughest of his life against Glen Johnson, he wasn't even knocked down once. Also this was going to be a stinker from the get go, and Taver has a chin, good skills, and good defense. Dawson just can't simply go to war with him.

Chad Dawson is a nice guy & all , but he's not even close to being the best P4P in boxer like Floyd said he was. Maybe Floyd believes he's as good as he was to be the P4P king, but not what a real P4P fighter should be.

He may lack 1 punch knockout power but in no way is he boring! The guy throws combinations with lightning fast speed, has a great body attack, and is young and hungry. I would like to see him go to 168 and dominate if he can't get any big fights at 175.

Dawson is the best around his weight just like Floyd is the best around his weight. They both have way more skills than Mr. Plaster Hands.
