He had Tarver hurt early, but decided to play it safe and keep boxing him. God damn, seems like every boxer who dosen't go for the KO is boring nowadays wtf?

I wasnt impressed either. But then again, I've never been on the Dawson bandwagon. He's still a prospect to me.
He came up looking flashy against crap fighters and lost to Glen Johnson.

I think he's reticent to take chances because of his familiarity with the canvas. He has many times in his career overextended himself trying to capitalize on an advantage and left himself open to a punch he shouldn't have taken.

Guys like BJ Flores, Wladimir Klitschko and others have adapted safety first styles to compensate for their subpar punch resistences.

Still, I thought he took more chances than he had to in this fight to press advantages but realized midway through this fight that he didn't have the clout to get Tarver out of there.
