After that I think it's time for Bernard to retire

Chad Dawson won't do much for his resume, the guy just isn't that good yet and he may never be that good. If Bernard were to school him, it would be a lot less impressive than Bernard's win over Pavlik. Hopkins was a huge underdog against Pavlik and if he had lost that fight no one would have thought anything of it. However I feel that if he were to lose to Dawson that would severely detract from his resume as I would favour him over Dawson. Now that Taylor lost to Froch, the fact the Adamek fight looks like a no go and with Joe Calzaghe being retired there isn't anything left for him. Sure he could fight Froch and become a three weight world champion but that would be a good achievement and a good achievement doesn't do much for an already great resume. Only a truly great achievement improves an already great resume.

    Froch win: Good win
    Dawson win: Good win
Adamek win: Very good achievement over a good fighter
Valuev win: Great achievement against an ordinary fighter but this would never happen
Calzaghe win: Great win over a great fighter but he's retired

In fact I think the hardest test for Bernard is Paul Williams regardless of the fact Williams is a much smaller man ( in terms of weight)

Either way there ain't much out there for Bernard other than Pacquiao at 165...............I joke

      wait a minute...

froch is as good a win as dawson???? that's crazy ******. dawson is 10x the boxer froch is.

also, how is a win over adamek better than a win over dawson? dawson beat adamek!!!!

also, i love pwill, but dawson is a tougher challenge than pwill.

c'mon man... if you don't want hopkins to fight dawson cause dawson is too tough, just say it, don't try and make excuses.

In my opinion, after seeing tonights fight, there isn't that much difference in beating Froch and winning a title in a third weight division and beating Dawson and regaining the LHW title. Yes you could argue Dawson is more impressive but I wouldn't call either a great win. I guess you could call a Dawson win a very good one and a froch win a good win. However out of those two fights, the most impressive accomplishment out of the two would be winning he SMW title and beating another guy who beat Taylor,
I think a win over Adamek is a better win than a Dawson win because it is at CW.
Also I believe the Williams fight would be harder because of the style match up. Paul doesn't stop throwing and is always out of range.

          .
because hopkins would be going up in weight, again, and winning titles in his third division. I think it looks better on his resume than beating dawson at this point.

Yea i guess. I don't really watch boxing for those reasons though. I guess a Toney fight would be mildy intriguing becuase of the style match up however I would like to see a good perforance from Toney in a tune up if they were to fight

I gotcha but bernard vs. roy would be perfect right now... it would be a great fight to leave on and it would settle an old score.. and im sure they would both make a pretty nice bank

I think it makes great sense for Roy because a win over Bernard Hopkins still means a lot however there isn't much in it for Old Popkins. Popkins by KO by the way
