I'm a big marquez fan too and i think he's the best counterpuncher in the sports today and i believe he has a very good chin but he didnt look good at 135,he struggled during his fight with juan diaz thats why i cant see him winning at 140 with the much improved pacman

Marquez just knocked out two champions that have never been knocked out ever in their careers and one was 10 years younger than him. I think it's Marquez who's gotten stronger as he's gone up in weight.

Marquezs has a suspect chin. Please dont be bias and say pillow fisted J.Diaz didnt rock him into the corner. Come on people, Marquez doesnt belong anywhere higher then 135. Weight matters to a guy like Marquez, he's slower, vulnerable, and has no power. END OF DISCUSSION.

As for him looking better at 135, better than what exactly? At 126 he was much, much better than he is now. He gets hit too much now and used to have great defense, his reflexes have slowed considerably and he is, in general, a lot slower also. He had super quick hands and just because he is still winning doesn't mean he is getting better. Sadly, I agree with the other guy that said he didn't actually look that good at 135.

When you've seen most of his early fights and prime years, there is a huge difference to how he is fighting now. He was much better and has declined a fair bit. I also think he would finally get beaten convincingly by Pac if they meet again. Pac is still in his peak prime years and looking as good as ever, while Marquez is now well past his prime years and has steadily declined. Great fighter still, no doubt about it, but he is not as good as he was. Slowed down just that little bit too much, gets hit that little bit too much and his counter punch reflexes have also slowed down just a bit too much.

It will be nice to see him get his super payday against Mayweather finally.
