I think so. Him being P4P #2 and beating probably the best boxer of our era has got to be the biggest boxing accomplishment in the past 20 years.

if marquez beats mayweather it would be because floyd was coming off a long layoff, or something else, he wont get the credit he'll deserve....

I think he will.. I mean I think he has a good resume already and if he does defeat FMJ I think he is a shoe-in and sets up the trilogy vs Pac...

Marquez already is a ATG fighter. But a victory over Floyd would put him in front of Pacquiao both in the P4P rankings and in the ATG rankings.
