Interesting Joe Calzaghe Quote From 2003 about Fight with Roy Jones Jr

Was browsing about and saw a quote someone found from Joe Calzaghe back in 2003

This is London magazine has been established for over 65 years, providing readers with information about events, exhibitions, music, concerts, theatre and dining. As life returns to normal, Londoners are heading back into the Capital and many visitors are already coming from further afield.

"I could probably give Jones a tough fight, probably the best fight he's ever had," said Calzaghe. "But I know my capabilities and unless I got paid the crown ***els I wouldn't want to risk it."
If this is legit ,do you feel this vindicates claims that Roy Jones Ducked Calzaghe?

right, calzaghe sent jones a letter challenging jones, calzaghe wanted jones to go down to supermiddle weight and fight in cardiff...calzageh knew well he was'nt gonna get the fight with that statement, he just did that so he could brag about it later sayin jones ducked him

if i was a middleweight and challenged a heavyweight like lennox lewis and todl him the requirements for the fight are he comes down to middlewieght and fights me in my backyard(literally)
what would lennox think? ''haha this sh/it must be a joke''
that's exaclty what jones thought i bet you

Jones didn't fight Calzaghe for the same reason he didn't fight Dariusz Michalczewski.

                High risk, low reward.

                The end.

It doesn't matter, they never fought each other in their primes. It harms both their resumes. However Calzaghe is one up because despite Roy being old he still beat him. Calzaghe beat Jones so bad and performed so well that he showed the fight would have been competetive when they were both in their primes, that's the best thing he could have asked for.
