Floyd is in a no win situation. Cotto was already beat by the limited Margarito. Mosley is old and Pac is smaller than him. He has NO legacy defining fights available. He should have fought Cotto before he lost it would have been his career defining fight I believe.

Then why did he insist on fighting Hatton at 147?

Why won't he go down to 135 to fight JMM? Floyd wouldn't even accept 143 as a catchweight, remember.

No, at his present age, Floyd is a natural welterweight. At age 19 he may have been a junior lightweight, but he filled out as most people do as they get older.

because floyd is not a welterweight but he can only fight at welterweight.

Mosley will be past it when they fight. Mayweather ducked him on purpose. Prime for prime at light weight to welterweight Mosley would whip Floyd in my opinion.

win or lose against pac, floyd should fight cotto and mosley just to tie up loose ends.

One of them would be cool. If he fights at welter fight welters.
If he fights a jr or below, I have no problem with him fighting the best available.

But Floyd has been at welter for a while now (well at least pre-retirement) so I don't think moving down is a good idea at this point.
