Why can the same ol' arguments about certain fighters be posted repeatedly and generate hundreds of replies, but an article that sheds some light on a possible pending fight can't?

If that ain't double-standard, I'd like to know what is.

I've read all your arguments as to why you can't adopt a balanced take on Mayweather. And they're all twisted. To isolate one - if not talking trash and "carrying yourself correctly" mattered so much to you, you'd be backing the Klitschkos against Haye and not vice versa.

And regarding the fanbases on here. For every random ******-fabulous wannabe in love with Floyd's swag (a prop), you have a counterpart : some Pinoy punk who sees Pacman as a vision of Bruce Lee in Enter The Dragon, believes the correct answer to every last fantasy matchup involving Pacman is "speed" (Tyson vs. Pacman - "speed", Foreman vs. Pacman - "speed") and thinks it's cool to refer to a black as a "monkey".



The De La Hoya fight was the first time you ever paid attention to Pacman on this board, FACT. Because you weren't talking about him during Marquez II, a BIG fight you were here for and which engendered much discussion and controversy.
In the wake of Pac-De La Hoya, you started talking about how Pacquiao would beat Floyd. Then you flip-flopped when the euphoria died down and, just a few weeks ago, you were saying Floyd beats Pacman. One explosive fight result later and you've flip-flopped yet again.





Personally, if Mayweather does as most expect against Marquez, all I'd like is for this fight to happen so I can see who the best is. I don't give a **** about the personal battle of grinding egos between Fat Buu and El Dominicano or whoever. I don't even have a preference as to who should win the fight, because I just want an answer to the question - who's the best?
And only 2 men can answer that question. Pac and Floyd. Not you. Not Fat Buu. Not The 5* General. And not Horus. None of you petty fuckers.

Whichever man wins a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight will be the recognized greatest of this era, and I'll tip my hat to him (it's a nice hat, I got it from Harvey Nichols).

But to act like Floyd has no shot against Pacquiao, should he look good and sharp against Marquez, is insanity. Pac blowing out 2009 Hatton is no measurement of how Pacquiao-Mayweather will go. Floyd and Pac don't work alike in the ring, the versions of Hatton they fought didn't work alike in the ring (don't let the "Ricky threw out the gameplan" Hatton excuses mill mislead you).
Assuming Floyd looks anything like his best against Marquez, Pacquiao is facing his hardest assignment if/when he fights Floyd. In that event, both of these guys need to bring their A+ games to the fight or in all likelihood they lose.




If you claim to belong to The Real People (ie. the ones who come for the sport and not just to Stan and hug), and if you admire "how Pacquiao carries himself" so greatly, why are you posting at the level of a snide, bitchy fanboy?


A poster like, say, El Dominicano, pleasant as he is, is pure fanboy. At present, you are merely his counterpart, like Fat Buu, who is also a fanboy. One group of fanboys is not automatically, inherently more desirable than any other group just by dint of which fighter they rep.
