Is it coincidence that Roach predicted both fights and he was basically money, or is he a F---ing Genius??? Mans a GENIUS in my eyes.
Freddie Roach his predictions

I don't think we should use the word "Genius." Seriously, it is the most overused and misused word since the word "Awesome" was said every two seconds to describe something about a decade and half ago (or whenever it started).
Call him Smart, maybe "Brilliant" (since I put that one step below Genius, although I'm not sure I would go that far with him).
Freddie Roach is a Very Smart guy {period}
How does he do it? He studies history and the fighters. He studies things both from a Mental and Physical stand-point. And then, he sways things in his favor. For Example: Fighting Oscar at 147 instead of 154. He knew the chances of Oscar not being at his best because of coming down in weight, which he gave examples of with fighters throughout history that have made the same mistake and the result was them showing up in poor condition to fight.
Floyd vs. Oscar: Having Floyd move up to 154 so that Oscar can show up bigger than him. Plus, making Mr. Brittle Hands wear "Reyes" gloves and insisting he had to wrap his hands a certain way other than his usual way to protect his hands.
Pac vs. Morales: Insisting Morales come back down to 130 instead of 135 where Morales would have liked the fight...at least for the third fight.
It will be the same with trying to get Cotto or Shane down below 147. Take something out of them for fight-time and you up your chances to win.
Hatton: He had to have seen that when Floyd used his jab, he kept Ricky off and when he opened up on Ricky, Ricky couldn't do anything. Where Floyd would not continue to strike, Pac would and the results would speed up the KO.
It's the same with what he is saying with Floyd that he should have waited one more day to sign a fight with Pac. Freddie said that a busy fighter is a good fighter. And for him to say Floyd should have fought Pac next is basically saying that Floyd's inctivity will hurt him and a good time would be for Pac to get him right off the layoff which means Floyd would have to continue to stay out until the end of the year when Pac fights next. The longer the inactivity, the better the chances are for a high pressure fighter that is active and on top of his game to upset the inactive, coming out of retirement Fighter. And be sure that they would insist on "Reyes" gloves again. The more worried Floyd is for his brittle hands, the less likely he is to throw.Comment

Bravo, brilliant post. Pretty much sums up Freddie Roach to a tee..I don't think we should use the word "Genius." Seriously, it is the most overused and misused word since the word "Awesome" was said every two seconds to describe something about a decade and half ago (or whenever it started).
