If he fights guys his own size then I think he may be the man. It wouldnt shock me at all if he went back to 140 and started dominating. Guzman screwed up big time with the weight thing but I definatly dont rip him for turning down this fight or turning down the Campbell fight afterwards. If you truly got a bad feeling then you shouldnt do it and I think he really has a bad feeling about those 2 fights. I think he has no problem with fighting Campbell but he probably felt that he was dead weight after the weigh-in and that a scrub may beat him that night let alone Campbell. Sometimes you just have to be patient because sooner or later something will come around.

Also, so what if people like him on the undercard? That wont automaitcally make him be able to get fights. I think his time is coming. Someone will take the bait
Guzman didn't look like Guzman in his last fight, he has no time to be waiting.

Nah I didn't get offended by that, it was the pendejo comment, thought you was trying to be an *******. I do agree that Zab is a head case, but check it, in his last fight Guzman hit Ameth Diaz with clean shots that didn't faze him. Diaz then got knocked out in 4 in his next fight by some unknown Japanese fighter at the same weight (135). That should tell you just how bad his power is at lightweight. Imagine going up 8 pounds against a top 10 welterweight. He'd get no respect.

Even with that though I still think he could have pulled out a UD. Cuz Zab looked like **** against a nobody in his last fight at a catch weight.

I don't know why Guzman would turn that down, it would have been on the undercard of Mayweather-Marquez against a guy who's relatively well known in a fight he would have had a very good chance of winning. I don't get it.

He didn't land with force. Ameth Diaz was just too freakin HUGE and not only that, Ameth (For a bum) had pretty good defense. Guzman never made an attempt to put a hurting on him, Ameth was blockin off alot of shots

So Guzman put very little commitment towards his punches, just tried his best to land. The best opponent for Guzman is someone tryin to get at him, he feeds off of that and Zab is that opponent

I was thinking the same, but I give him the benefit of the doubt cuz it was his first fight at the weight against a big lightweight. His chin didn't look the same though, first time I ever seen him rocked. I've been hearing Guzman is gonna sign a co-promotion deal with Top Rank and if he does he's bound to get an opportunity. I see Valero down the road.

I seen that, he said it himself that he stopped going for the knockout around the 4th or something. I hear he's staying in the gym full time now, but his management is horrible. They allow him to sit on the sidelines for years at a time and when he actually does get in the ring they put him in against guys with solid chins that's gonna go 12 from the jump. They need to put him in there with somebody he can knockout to get his confidence level up or some ****.

Man, HUGE Pernell Whitaker/ Mayweather fan over here. I just love the slick defensive counter puncher, Guzman is really really talented and sadly, dude is 32 and hasn't accomplished much, his time is almost over. Sometimes you just gotta man up and take whatever fight they give you, this ain't one to walk away from

ITS A PPV EVENT. Undercard to Mayweather vs JMM. **** if I ever met Guzman in person, I'd be like "esta loco en la cabeza?"

Like I said man, his management is and has been horrible. Good managers keep their fighter fighting, these dudes let him run around NY getting fat and ****. If you gonna have this dude living in NY, donde tan to lo can de nosotro, you gotta keep the ***** busy fighting so what happened against Campbell y tambien contra Juaregui doesn't happen or get that ***** the **** out of there. Le paso casi lo mismo que le pasa a lo Cubano, por eso no se puede queda ma de 3 pelea en una division.

He should have taken this fight cuz he could have won it on a big stage. Judah didn't look good in his last fight at 143 and the older he gets the worse he'll look. He could have been close to a Hall of Famer by now.
