When they were talking about the JMM Floyd Teddy favored Floyd but brought up the rumors of his tax trouble, saying that could throw him off track in this fight. B-Hhop responded to this by saying Teddy had a point but B-Hop fought for the money, so he thought that this would be extra motivation for Floyd. That was when B-Hop was talking about that that added prssure may cause someone like Mayweather to be even more on his game, when he might otherwise take an opponent lightly. B-Hop said ssize was not the main factor in either fight.

I think B-Hop really appriciates Floyd style, because he was talking about him very highly. Teddy mmainly picked Pacman because he picked against him for the Hatton fight so he was not going to over think things this time and jsut go with Manny (basically). B-Hop said it would be a tough hard close fight that would be talked about for a long long time but he favored Floyd by decison.

****! I thought it would be a breeze transcribing what this!

Brian Kenny: "Teddy, who do you like in that fight? We're not even picking a guy, but how good would that fight? Would you favor Pacquiao over Mayweather going in?"

Teddy Atlas: "Well look Brian, I'm not the smartest guy in the world and I've proven that several times on this air, BUT you know, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice? Shame on me. I'm going with Pacquiao... Because first of all, I understand everything Bernard said but really the temperament, you know, the essence of Mayweather is to be a thoughful smart fighter. You know if he has to walk to you a little bit, okay. He's gonna do what champions has to do to keep the title. But the essence of him is to counter, to be smart, to use the sweet science. And when you're doing that with a guy like Pacquiao, who's very fast and is a southpaw, and who can box on the outside and not really give you the dimensions to counter, guess what? It could be a tough fight, and a fight were suddenly, middle way, late in the fight, all of the sudden you gotta walk to the guy and gotta go get the guy. So I see it as that kind of fight were Pacquiao, being able to be in the outside and speed his way to a decision. Pacquiao! I'm with you!"

I've discussed this as well. Floyd has to start faster like he did back in the day when he was a 130-140 pound fighter. And he has to show up hungry to win to prove a point.

I don't think he can lay back like he has been doing and fighting to basically just pull through. Yes, he KO'd Hatton but it was more of a defensive/countering KO. He needs to go and get the win (while being careful of course).
Win the rounds from round 1 instead of picking up the fight at round 5 on.

He's basically got to break Pac down from the start piece by piece and then if possible, go for the KO late.

Pac will most likey come to him (especially to challange Floyd's stamina at this point) so he can sit back a bit and counter...but once he counters, he can go on the attack then revert back to countering and so on.

But hey, leave it to Roger

But, I will say this: He looked like CRAP against Oscar and could have done a lot more.

It really depends on where Floyd's mind is right now and that was the point to it.

If Floyd is motivated by money the way some of the Old Timers were to get out of debt and pay back bills, yes, that can do wonders for motivation. Example: James J. Braddock; Foreman.
However, some people come back and don't want to fight but need to pay back bills and don't do so well because they can't get their heart into it and that is when you are vulnerable. Examples: Benny Leonard; Louis; Tyson.
The way Floyd talked about boxing while heading into retirement wasn't a fighter that had the heart to be a fighter anymore. So unless he gets that hunger to fight for "Milk Money" and can even put it in his head that he needs these wins for his Legacy, than I'm not sure how well he can do. He needs hunger; he needs "heart/will" to fight at his best. The media can help if they continue to count him out.

Size wouldn't be a factor; agree. Manny shows up at 148 which is very close to Floyd if not Floyd's weight on fight-night as well when he was active as a WW. And unlike Floyd when he moved up and aged, Manny has kept his speed...as well as increased his power, strength, and his stamina seems to still be top-notch. Skills, Tactics, and who wants this the most will win this. Of course there are other factors but....

Atlas curse doesn't work on Pacman (Pac/ODLH), Manny's got an antedote for that...

Teddy is wrong on most of his picks because he likes to pick the underdogs and against fighters he doesn't like, like Wlad, Teddy always picks against Wlad because he doesn't like him. Nobody could predict the underdog at a high % though or they'd be making millions betting on fights.
