    How “Bad” is Chad Dawson?

By Patrick Kehoe - Cable broadcasters HBO certainly want the answer to the question of just what kind of upside light-heavyweight title holder Chad Dawson can generate. No one expects his career to spontaneously combust, for him to become an overnight media darling.

Fighters like Dawson are mainly comprised about pragmatism and hard work and gaining big wins over time and HBO think he could fit nicely into the gap left by the retired Joe Calzaghe, aging Bernard Hopkins and made to order Carl Froch. With their galaxy of superstars gone collectively nova, Dawson also represents the kind of repackaging/repositioning of talent that HBO are going to have to mentor over the next few years. [details]

Bad enough to lose to Glen Johnson and avoid a rematch.

Did you actually score the fight?.... I doubt it. I like the Road Warrior, but if you had him actually winning it, then you're not that good of a scorer. It was a close fight, but Chad clearly won more rounds. He should give him a rematch to erase the doubt from you haters though.

172 is pretty low for a 40 year old man that's fought at 175 his whole career. He looks in shape, but I smell a late fade. Dawson by late tko.

One of the best boxers today in terms of talent, although not a top 10 p4p. His career is just starting, has A LOT to prove.

Although I consider Dawson was one of the best boxers today, my criticism of him is that he's playing too much boxing politics, this fight is an example of one. Boxing politics screws a fighter, just look at Kessler's situation.

He's not that "bad" at all. He's more of a nerd. And he lost to Glencoffe Johnson.
