Have to agree with pistol whip. Except for Oscar, JMM is on another level from those fighters. The fighters you mentioned couldn't be elite past 2 divisions. JMM is dominating in his 3rd.

Rough question man, but the way Marquez and Pacquiao keep one upping each other I could see it happening. If JMM wins, it would have to be like some P4P 1 and 1A like De La Hoya and Jones Jr. back in the day.

He would be remembered as the top mexican fighter of this generation, he would get strong consideration for P4P#1 although I think Manny would hold it until they fought for a third time it would be very heavily debated though. He would also most likely get the third chances at Pacman he craves, if JMM wins I do not see how that fight would not occur because that fight would be huge.

A victory over Floyd would basically be the biggest thing JMM could do for his career (although beating Pacman would be pretty close, although I can not see how he secures that fight w/o beating FLoyd).

He deserves a rematch with Pacquiao as it is, if he beats Mayweather, he should definitely be in line to fight Pacquiao. He would still be pound for pound number 2 for me, Pacquiao did beat him in their last fight, controversial or not, it was a victory for the Pacman.

If Marquez beats Floyd. Then everyone should stfu and quit dissing him. Since that isn't going to happen, everyone will reverse what they are saying now "Marquez is 36yrs old and too small." and say "Marquez was too good for Floyd."
