i didn't say anything about the air quality, or fresh water supply, since it lies next to the great lakes for crying out loud. What I did say however, is that Michigan's hunger for money has led to the state to resort to collecting garbage for better off regions.

Well at least you admit the misfortune your state has to endure. I did write a very long report on the matter, and what steps we can take to solve the problem.

coming from Ann Arbor, I don't see the low IQ thing or dropout thing as being true at all.
I know Detroit has it's problems and I doubt most of those ppl take a boxing survey with their free time, so I suspect its more likely ppl who are a little more well to do that follow boxing these days(as its on HBO?ST and PPV mainly). I dont get the hate, its almost Cartman-esque. I actually live in Barton Hills, and for anyone who wants to find out what thats all about then go for it. it'll put your little nice town/city/burb to shame. we just dont usually talk about it. but the hate oon one one the best states in this country is sickening. I mean even the 'ricans seem to be piling on.

Not just attacking you but the others that think they know stuff about the state. First off(not sure if it was you or someone else) Michigan is no where close to the top state of high school drop outs. Yes, Detroit is the top major city but as a whole state Michigan is in the upper half of graduation and before 2000 it was a top 10 state. Second off, the state is not nearly as poor as a lot of states. Just because it has high unemployment which for starters isn't that much higher than a lot of rust belt states doesn't mean its that poor. We have had misfortune but the west side of the state and even the Ann Arbor area has done a lot with communications(google for example) and natural fuels. Thirdly, which I don't even really want to discuss is someone was trying to say Michigan is the lowest in IQ. Thats funny since we have so many top universities and it just sounds like a hateful thing to say. All in all the state has suffered but it used to be great. What do you guys think, the state just turned ******ed because of misfortune? Maybe you guys think the whole state of Michigan is called Detroit.
