Why does it matter if he can throw great body punches if he won't be able to land them on Pacquiao? And because if someone has a different opinion then your own they are a kid... Oh, thats nice, I'm 22 and I think we know who the real kid is now. Chavez was not known for his speed, like you said it was his body punching and if he can't hit the person infront of him, he is going to have a hard time beating them.
And yet, body ****ing double dips, because if he is not K.O.ed it tends to be a key element in slowing down fast paced fighters.
You emphasize on his speed.
A) there is no hope of landing them, despite the fact Barrera was landing body blows.
B) Taylor was getting caught by brutal body blows, despite his speed advantage.
You do understand that Manny likes to go into the exchange? So does Chavez.
Does Manny have Chaves on Speed? Of course he does, but that is one factor from a complexity of factors members have to keep in mind.Last edited by Ido; 05-09-2009, 01:11 AM.Comment

Good Match. But Taylor is a bad comparison. Taylor is more of a boxer, to Manny as a puncher. In any case Chaves destroyed Taylor. You need to keep a few things in perspective, mainly that Chavez was among the best body punchers of all time. Secondly was an unbelievable chin to match his heavy punching.
But this will go unnoticed, being as we have to many adults posing as kids.
Anyways, Taylor himself would put hands all over Paq...Comfortably..Comment

Sure Pac would get in a lot of hits, but he doesn't have the defense to protect himself from the exchanges with Chavez.Comment

Agreed, Pac has the speed to counter Chavez all night, however it is not Pac's style. Pac is a very aggressive fighter and Chavez, loved that type of fighting not to mention that in his prime, he had tremendous endurance.
