Only reason a re-match took place was because Tarver had a contractual clause, that allowed him to snatch a rematch. Other than that, I really don't know why it's happening, I mean, the first fight was hardly competitive, or controversial.

On the flipside...Tarver is known to come back strong in rematches, but he's older now, and facing Dawson. Should be no different than the first fight, might even see a stoppage!

yea if he wins it would be a shock its only because there is no way that what tarver has as an arsanal that will do any damage to dawson i just dont see , chad can take a punch if he gets cought ,, way to fast the speed and balance he has on his feet is to respect.. Hand speed , head movement his defence,, tarver his only real weapon against chad would be waiting for the ko.

We just have to be honest. Tarver never wanted any part of Dawson. He avoided him for the better part of a year and a half maybe two.

He only took this fight because at the time it was the only fight he could get. From the get go he was a beaten man. And he even hinted at losing before the fight with some funny statement.

Now he takes this fight again, purely for the money and to be on TV.

Sure he could get lucky and land a luck shot like he did against Jones. But I don't think so.
