    In Our Lifetime!

World jr. welterweight champ (1989-94); also held titles as jr. lightweight (1984-87) and lightweight (1987-89); won over 100 bouts; 90-bout unbeaten streak!

WE WILL NEVER SEE ANOTHER FIGHTER LIKE JULIO CESAR CHAVES,NOT IN OUR LIFETIME.ONE OF THE TOUGHEST GUYS EVER IN THE SPORT. SURE HE F0UGHT A LOT OF UNKNOWNS BUT HE FOUGHT EVERYONE THAT CAME ACROSS HIM. HE ALSO FOUGHT A LOT OF FIGHTERS IN THEIR PRIME AND DOMINATED THEM,ENDING MANY CAREERS ALSO.UNDEFEATED 14 YEARS IN A ROW. HIS FIRST LOST CAME TO THE HANDS OF RANDAL,FUNNY THING IS THAT I DIDNT KNOW CHAVES HAD FOUGHT A MONTH BEFORE THAT FIGHT. ANYWAYS AFTER THE RANDAL WARS HE TURNED OLD. I GUESS HE BURNED OUT,BUT ONE OF THE GREATEST FIGHTER P4P EVER!

    whoa, what an avator

I agree with you about Chavez--with him you always got you money's worth because he always came to fight and always was a true professional in the ring. his son JCC Jr has a lot to live up to, but I think he can be very good as well.

Chavez was great fight, but I think Morales is holding up that torch very well.

Only two Mexican(Not Mexican/Americans) have won tittles in 3 division Chavez and Morales.

Great fighter a flat out master at cutting off the ring and breaking a fighter down.

Morales is good but he is no way near Chavez level. Chavez was a bad s.o.b, great body attack, hard jab, killer right hand and a whole lot of heart. Chavez was a superstar and the most well known Mexican fighter ever.
