No he is not on Baldomir's level in that department. He is much better overall on defence and especially offense (just a better overall fighter in general).

I actually dont think Floyd has the power like Manny Pacquiao and i also think Marquez has a quality chin and he has never been knocked out.
Floyd has never been known for pure power like Manny. However, he is known for being laser like accurate in his punching so while yes Manny is the more powerful of the two Floyd will land cleaner and more consistently than Manny ever did. Yes yes I know Floyd is not known as a volume puncher but then one he does throw he makes them count and that constant barrage of punches will wear down JMM IMO.

Marquez isnt ****** he knows Floyd is also a counter puncher so it will be a chess match... Marquez wont charge into him and he will fight when he has to fight so dont be suprised that this could be a boring fight...
Marquez is indeed a smart fighter but he is also prone to wanting to exchange. The times he was in peril against both Diaz and Pacquiao were the times he thought he could exchange with them. This leaves him square and more prone to being hit cleanly. In order for him to have any shot he has to stay disciplined enough not to try and go punch for punch with Mayweather because Mayweather will make him miss and pay for that miss more than vice versa

Marquez has come up in weight and has knocked out the two best in the division that no one has knocked out before in Juan Diaz and Joel Cassamoyer... And thats a pretty good accomplishment...
indeed but IMO there is ceiling to JMM. Remember he is 36 not the 25-27 that Floyd was when he started moving up in weight. I do think this plays a part in what happens because unlike Floyd who moved up in correspondance to his body maturing, JMM is moving up mostly to go for the big fights.

Also in order to knockout both he had to basically wage even wars with them. In the Casa fight while there was decent sustained action it was on an even playing field until JMM out attritioned him. Same with Diaz in that he went through a war in order to get the better of Diaz.

He wont be able to rely on that and yes while Floyd has been out for some time it's not like he got out of shape. The man perpetually trains and is in shape quite a bit.

If anything i think the ring rust and drop in weight could play a part in this fight...
maybe the rust but Floyd I dont see having any issues in dropping to 144. All that means IMO is that he has to actually cut weight a bit as opposed to just training for a fight. Remember he only has to weigh 144 for about 3 seconds until the official weight is announced

I see it going the distance and like i said dont be suprised if its a boreing fight... Hopefully not because Marquez is the more aggressive fighter but he isnt ****** either... Its Mayweather who can be very boring...
its all about preferences IMO. Some people see what Floyd does in there and like it some don't but there are some nuiansces that he does that intrigue me so I don't think he is boring at all.

I also wouldnt be suprised if Marquez would have knocked out Hatton too...
maybe but he would have to go through more than what Floyd did judging by his recent fights. Even in the Barrera fight he had to wage war at times against a shop worn version of Marco.

Give Marquez the credit he deserves... I dont think he is that ****** to be blown out by Mayweather in 2 rounds like Hatton was with Manny...
I don't think anyone is picking two round but lets face it. Mayweather does more, is bigger (not by much but lets say for arguement's sake he is more acclimated to being in the 140s than JMM) and takes less punishment to deliver his.

JMM is a great great fighter indeed but he has a lot of aspects going against him that makes me think this is his cash out fight rather than a true challenge

JMM: Highly skilled fighter. Gave Pac hell and there are many that believe he beat Pac at least once. And he has never been knocked out despite facing Pac twice who landed some clean hard shots on him.

MMMMMMMM.....not a bum fight or an easy fight especially since we don't know yet where Floyd is at in his career/life.

People need to calm down and wait and see.
