Wow at all the ignorance in this thread. Just simply wow. I'm filipino and I say Donaire should never fight Juanma because Juanma would literally kill him.

There is a reason why there 17 weightclasses now as opposed to 8...and an even bigger reason the expansion started with the lighter weights. It's called BONE DENSITY. Lighter weight fighters dont have the frame structure doesnt allow their bodies to adapt as well to weight gain as naturally bigger fighters with denser bones. Hence why middleweights and light heavyweights can go all the way up to heavyweight and be extremely competive and guys like Jorge Arce can be so dominant at 112 but be completely destroyed at 115 even though its is only a mere 3lb difference.

Please explain to me how I'm ignorant. You have no real argument for Donaire being able to beat Juanma. Yes Donaire is a better boxer. but he's not gonna be able to hurt Juanma and he damn sure aint gonna be able to go a full 12 without getting hit regardless of how perfect of a gameplan he fights. All its gonna take is 1 shot from Juanma who is so much massively bigger than Donaire to turn him into the next Oscar Diaz.

heres why i think so!ive noticed that juanma got hit a lot by penalosa but he's just not strong enough to even wobble him.donaire on the other is very good with inside fighting ,have good power and obviously bigger than gerry.donaire is 5'7" or 5'6 and is struglin to make weight in his division right now so it'is clear that he belongs in higher division.i expect him to fight as high as 135 if not higher!
