I'm feelin' Pacquiao V. Valero. They're both explosive southpaw punchers, so you know somebody's goin' down quick. Too bad Roach said it's too risky for a tune-up fight.

Is there a "David Diaz" type champ at 147? That would be a good tuneup for Pac...lol.

Id like to see JMM take on Valero if he loses the Mayweather fight. Then he can finish his career with the conclusion to the Pacquiao Trilogy.

If JMM's last 3 fights are

              1. Mayweather
              2. Valero
              3. Pacquiao

He will have the biggest balls in all of Mexico. And he only has to win one of those fights to be considered a top30 ATG.

Why not let's make a freak show like Foreman did during his time by fighting 4-5 guys in one night. Let's give everybody a Chance against Pac.

1st the line will be Judah. Pac can Knock him out in 1.

2nd will be Katsidis, That's another 1st rd KO

3rd will be Bradley. A Little bit tough. Pac finish him in 2 rds.

4th will be Guzman, Pac will be already warmed up. Pac in 2 rds without getting hurt.

Then end it with Valero. That's another 2 rds of Brawl. Pac KO in 2 rds

That's a good 8 rds of tune up, without too much damage from these 5 opponents.

Bring on Guzman.. He can't hurt a fly plus he's the perfect sparring for preparation for pBF.

The fight didn't last long. Roach is a smart Man and still follows some of the old school philosophy/traditions when it comes to boxing: An Active fighter is a Good fighter.

Remember what he basically said about Oscar: you can't be a part-time fighter and be successful.

Still not sure who it was but I think it was Carmen Basilio (but maybe I'm wrong)...anyway, it was an Old time fighter who said a fighter must stay active to be at his best and suggested a fighter fight at least every 3 months if not before to stay sharp.

                    Actually, here is an article:

Quoted by the media after Saturday's fight, Roach in regards to Mayweather opting to fight Marquez, stated: "You know, Mayweather Jr, he could have fought Manny Pacquiao. He just had to wait one day. I think he's scared of Pacquiao." Roach went on to add that because Mayweather Jr. chose Marquez, he and Pacquiao don't plan on waiting around. "He chose Marquez. We're not going to wait around. I like to keep Manny busy. A busy fighter is a good fighter," said Roach. Perhaps the last sentence was a stab at Mayweather Jr? Mayweather Jr. has been close to two years out of the ring. He made his return official yesterday, only a couple of hours before Pacquiao vs. Hatton.

That's also why Freddie would rather have Floyd next instead of letting him get his feet wet again.
