Floyd doesn't need to fight come forward because he so technically gifted defensively. Pacquaio struggles with fighter's that don't bring the fight forward and direct to him, which is I only see one outcome if they get it on and that's Floyd by a wide descision result. He'll just quickly adapt to Pac's style and counter punch all night long.

you could be right. I think mosley is the fighter mayweather fears
more than pac. but pac keeps getting better so you never know
one things for sure it will be another big fight when it happens
and it will go mainstream like pac hatton did

Manny Pacquiao is Now a COUNTER PUNCHER?

I noticed something during the 2nd fight of Pacquiao and Marquez.

Whether its because of Roach teaching him to counter punch or its because of Manny's experience fighting Morales and Marquez, Pacquiao can now counter punch.

Example 1: Counterpunching the Counterpuncher

Pacquiao faked a jab and as soon as Marquez started countering with a left hook, Pacquiao ducked and threw a huge left of his own. Perfect. Common during Pacquiao's sparring session but rare during his actual fights.


Example 2: Backpedal Counterpunching

When Marquez moves forward, Pacquiao backpedals for a counterpunch.


Example 3: Right Hook Counterpunching



In interviews, Pacquiao said practiced counter-punching (during Diaz, De la Hoya, Hatton training). By the time he reaches Hatton, it was so automatic, that when Hatton telegraph his left punch, Pacquiao countered with his right hook roll under move.

That's same move with Marquez only in reverse. This means only one thing, Pacquiao can now counter punch with both hands.
