How many boxing promoters here on NSB?

Why some guys in here keep making threads of how many PPVs were sold after each big fight? Is any of you getting a cut? PPVs numbers doesn't mean much. It means a lot of people missed on a good fight if they did not paid for it, or a lot of "not real boxing fans" had the money to pay for it. Mainstream Media is almost always unaccurate appreciating the best boxers. How many times must Atlas and Rafael eat their own shi-t fight in and fight out?

PPV's numbers are ... :wank: for idiots to play with

I've seen only one thread today of someone talking about the Pacquiao/Hatton PPV numbers. And if you know about matchmaking and purse splits, you would know that things like that are important for fans to know too you know? That way no fan would be lost on why fighter A deserves a higher split than fighter B.

Like it or not, PPV numbers mean a lot. The networks dictate the fights and give certain budgets for certain fighters. Not to mention certain fighters only wana fight guys that can draw themselves.

You can hate it all you want, but PPV numbers and live gates are very, very relevant. I hate when people are like "ohhh who cares about ppv numbers", I mean yea, in an ideal world it wouldn't matter. But for better worse, it's a pretty big deal.

Casual and hardcore fans care about who makes more money?

I don't ever remember anyone but promoters talking about purses in regards to boxing before the internet.
