    to all hatton fans....

as a hatton fan obviously i was pissed off at the way he went charging in and lost. my initial post fight reaction is hatton should retire. he has given us some good nights, and has been a great champion. im just starting to consider if hatton can make a comeback and was wondering what other HATTON FANS have to say about this matter. Im not intrested in what the haters have to say, i want to know what the hatton fans think. i mean alot of other top line fighters have 5 or 6 losses. ricky is still only 30 years old. is it too late in the day for hatton? or can he make a comeback? your thoughts please hatton fans.................

Hatton is not even relevant anymore. Should have listened to big floyd and maybe he would had lasted 8 more rounds

Im not a fan but i always enjoyed rickys fights..

Its just what was the point of snr?

If your gonna jump in exactly like you always do what was the ***in point in paying all the cash that snr asked for?

Might as well brought that chain smoking hermit Billy Graham back....

I think he should have a farewell fight but thats it
On a elite ting his finished

Or some nice matchups would be Witter,Judah etc that sort of level

That KO was scary. He was very lucky to escape that unscathed and the next time he may not be so lucky.

I am a massive fan of Hatton and have been for years however I feel his lifestyle may have finally caught up with him.

He needs to watch the fight, see the reaction on his poor fiances face, realise he has his health, his millions and the most important thing he has a family.

Personally it's time for Ricky to get out while he still has everything

well his style was always going to make his career short and sweet imo,he is willing to take a shot to give a shot and when your punch resistance drastically falls like his has you really have to question whether to carry on or not,i think he should retire,or maybe have a farewell fight in the uk

Question is: Does anyone reckon he would of been any better had he not lived the sort of lifestyle he does in between fights?

Yes i think he can have one more big fight and still fight some of the best. I would like to see him fight Bradley, it would sell out Wembley and if he wins it would be a good way to go out or he could even still carry on.

Just because you loose to the best is no reason to give up, if that was the case there's hundreds of fighters who should give up. People who say he should retire as he's made all the money he ever needs, fighters don't fight for the money...boxing comes first and no amount of money is worth giving up your no.1 dream/hobby.

Its not just that he lost to the best but where do you go from there?

It was more in the manor that he lost for me..

Had he lasted the distance lost on the cards you would still half rate him
but he looked like a novice in there

I think maybe a goodbye fight against a guy with a glossy record but no punching power and he should go.

Ricky cannot fight on at top level with his decrease in punch resistance. Prime Hatton would have got his brains bashed in for about 9 rounds against Pacman. He is a take three and get one in type-of-guy, now he can't take three.

Same thing will happen to Carl Froch eventually. There is a limit to how many shots you can take without it diminishing punch resistance.

I believe so yes, especially these days when everyone takes training/diet so seriously. I don't reckon he would have been any better but i think he would have been at the top for longer?
