at the end of the day it's a 1 on 1 sport. no one is in the ring to help you or deter you. the greatest fighters find a way to win, regardless of what is happening around them.

i'm sure calzaghe had bad camps. he found a way to win. i'm sure ali, leonard, robinson, marciano, hagler, etc. all had bad training camps. they found ways to win.

yea i agree with you. just cant believe you put "calslappy" in your greatest fighters speech. hope that was a typo... beat a prime kessler which isnt saying much. an over-rated lacey and washed up b-hop and rj. dont get me wrong, those were decent wins but those fights dont make him a "great" fighter. but i guess compared to the rest of his padded record they look huge.

Judging by the what we saw in the 24/7 videos, and Mayweather's claims nothing went wrong at camp. Everything was good. Fact is Hatton was inconsistent in executing Floyd's instructions, and got laid out in two rounds. Simple as that. The old man did his job, and it was up to Hatton to do his part. You also have to consider Ricky's Yo-Yo deiting, and lifestyle habits.

i'm not going to argue about calzaghe. padded record aside, people who understand the science behind boxing know that calzaghe was/is a really good fighter. i don't think he's up there with the other fighters i mentioned. i put him there because he's a recent fighter who has won all his fights. that was the point of my post. he found a way to win. as did the other fighters i mentioned.
