they planned the jump to 135 before he even won the 130 belt.

the next fight after 135 was oscar at 147.

after that was hatton at 140.

you can't defend a belt when you're fighting guys at a weight class you don't own a belt in.

Please tell me you would have preffered to have seen these bouts as opposed to the bouts he did take.

Theses are not the first time he has won the belts. I'm not talking recently i don't mind that but it's not the first time he has won belts....and on another story pac doesn't fight slick boxers the closest to slickest is jmm and he lost

he won the 112 belt in 1999. he defended those.

he won the 122 belt in 2001. he defended those but wasn't a big name yet and couldn't get big fights.

when he finally won the 126 belt and became somewhat a big name he fought marquez next but left to 130 about a year later to fight morales.

the threadstarter asked since 126. which means the 130 , 135 , 140 belts.

Pacquiao won an IBF belt at 122. Which he defended 3 times.

At 126 Pacquiao beat Barrera for the linear championship but there was no actual belt on the line...so what exactly would he have to defend?? Following the Barrera victory Pacquiao fought Marquez for his WBA and WBO belts. In which despite being linear champ....Pacquiao was introduced as the challenger because it was Marquez's belts on the line.

Once again..... 130lb WBC mandatory challenger after Pac won the belt = Francisco Lorenzo

135lb WBC mandatory challenger after Pac won the belt = Anthony Pitalua.

And what slick boxer was ranked anywhere close to being a top contender or beltholder at lightweight at the time Pacquiao entered the division?
