Marquez is not the greatest Mexican fighter, yet he beat Pacquiao twice who is the greatest Asian fighter.
If he beats the best, Mayweather, then he can be considered the best period.

Only if he beat Pac after Floyd. He'd be considered the underdog in both fights, and beating both men, puts him as the best Mexican of all time.
