Manny Pacquiao's post-fight celebrations have been hit by the swine flu scare.
The pound-for-pound king has been told by the Filipino government to postpone his return from America - and subsequent victory parade - due to the outbreak of the A(H1N)1 virus.
Pacquiao, who knocked Ricky Hatton out cold in two rounds in Las Vegas on Saturday, is due to return home to Manila on Friday.
But with the world bracing itself for a pandemic, Filipines Health Secretary Francisco Duque said the government want the Pac Man and his notoriously large entourage - including his mother and wife - to extend their stay by five days.
Influenza
Officials are also taking seriously the risk of swine flu spreading at any victory parade for Pacquaio. The five-weight world champion was expected to be greeted by thousands of fans on the streets of the capital.
Duque said the government wanted him to put off his return for five days until next Tuesday due to fears he or members of his entourage may have contracted the influenza.
Duque also counselled that Pacquiao "should not be going out anymore", and that he and members of his homecoming party "should impose self-quarantine".
According to the latest figures from the World Health Organisation, 1,490 people around the globe have been infected by swine flu.
