At welterweight who do you think would win? I say Robinson by KO. He was a better fighter in all areas, lost only once in his first 130 sum bouts in the greatest boxing era of all time. Leonard was a great fighter also, but he couldn't dance away from Robinson all night, and as soon as he started that showboating stuff like sticking his chin out and that little one handed windmill thing he did, Robinson would hit him with a bolo punch and lay him out. Who would you pick?
Sugar Ray Robinson vs. Sugar Ray Leonard

The footage of Robinson at 147 is so grainy and ****ty that it's hard to pick, but Robinson is definitely the greater fighter historically.
Leonard wouldn't box like that anyway. Don't be fooled by the Duran rematch and Hagler fight. Leonard didn't dance that much, he boxed flat-footed much more often than on his toes, and against someone like Robinson, I doubt he'd do something ****** like sticking his chin out and then getting caught. He's not Nate Campbell. At welterweight who do you think would win? I say Robinson by KO.
