  • Hatton vs Katsidis at 140

I think Katsidis can beat Hatton by decision. I think Katsidis has a better defense, ever since Katsidis was knocked out by Casa he improved his defense a bit. In his last fight against Chavez he kept his guard up and had a better defense. Katsidis is a pretty talented fighter offensively too, I just wish he had a better trainer. And his two losses on his resume were against good opposition.

Hatton needs to reevaluate his training and work almost 100% on improving defense with a better trainer. If he does, he wins by KO..

i think these 2 could have a trilogy with one or the other taking 2 of 3.

I'm shocked at how I am the only one who seems to be the one thinking this is a 50/50 match up. Because I'm the only one giving Katsidis a shot from what the poll says.

I can't vote. I see it as 50-50 right now too, if we're talking about current Hatton.

To me it was only a very slight improvement, though - maybe 10% better than against Ramirez earlier in the year. That's just not enough. He still gets caught, and gets caught a LOT. I would say he's lucky that Chavez was a bit tubby and not exactly a sharp puncher, because any of the other guys at 135 or 140 would be ringing his bells all night long like Diaz did.

Whether it's all down to Brendon Smith being a **** trainer, or his own unwillingness to really focus on keeping a tight guard (like Hatton, but not as bad), that is the main thing he needs to work on before stepping up. Casamayor clocked him 3 times due to a sloppy guard, so he should be studying that tape during all his free time.

With that said, due to his increasing ranking, he should be looking at Valero pretty damn soon. I'd love to see it.

Hatton doesnt have punch resistance and cuts too much.He would be looking like a butchers floor within 5 rounds
