    Floyd Vs. Manny Analysis...

To get perspective on a potential Manny/Pbf showdown I rewatched Floyds fights with Genaro Hernandez, Emmanuel Augustus, and Chico.

What I got from re watching them is that Floyds power is being vastly underrated by the Packy fans.
The way Floyd broke all of those very durable guys down tells me that he's packin' more heat than he is being given credit for.

Also, once the excitement dies down from Packy's k.o of Hatton, people will see that Floyd is the best fighter by far that Packy's fought since his fights with JMM.

The JMM comparison is relevant because he is the only fighter Packy's fought in a while that has the ability to throw every punch correctly. Packy's last 3 opponents have been one dimensional fighters with a limited arsenal of punches.

In Floyd, Manny will have another fighter like JMM who has mastered every punch in the book and has better defense than JMM.
I also think people are running with Arum's hyperbole about Packy being the greatest of all time a little too seriously.

Packy has two punches. A left straight and recently developed right hook. A fighter like Floyd who is intelligent and so defensively gifted will see those punches coming easily. Manny's defense is also lacking. Prior to landing that left hand in the second round against Hatton, Ricky got into a bit of a rhythm and was able to land good shots against Packy.

In the final analysis, I see Floyd luring Manny into counter shots all night and also winning their exchanges. Eventually stopping The Dapidran Dart in the later rounds.

I initially picked Packy, but after watching some of those Floyd classics I have to change my mind.

Isn't it the left hook that knock Hatton out for good?

So why isn't he fighting Shane for the WW title? He picks a 35 year old that's 2 weight classes lower than him.

Those fights were along time ago against minor opposition compare to who Pacquiao has fought. They were smaller guys that Pacquiao would've destroy.

That's a decent analysis, I do think that Manny is easy to time if you can overcome his speed, like Marquez. I don't think Mayweather would win in an exchange with Manny Pacquiao, but that's not Mayweather's style to exchange. Floyd just has to be very patient, as he always is, and wait for Manny to start throwing his bombs, and counter like JMM. Floyd is a lot physically stronger than Manny too. Ricky didn't really bully Mayweather and it looked like had Ricky gotten in rhythm and been able to take Manny's punches, he would have overwhelmed him with his size. Mayweather will be smarter with implementing his size as he will against JMM and be very cautious with his power, and if worst comes to worst, he will run around picking shots for 12 rounds and win 12 round UD.

Ricky fights better from the inside, but the referee didn't let him clinch for a sec during the Pacman fight. But in the Mayweather fight Mayweather got away with holding Hattons arm and punching him while Hatton was unable to get away or counter attack.
Plus Mayweather was shoving his forearm up Hatton throat. So then yes hatton didn't bully Mayweather, Mayweather bullied Hatton.
