who would khan have to beat to be p4p top 10 in 4 fights (2 years)?

    - kotelnik (for a strap)
    - timothy bradley(for unification bout)
    - nate campbell (savy vet and name recognition)
    - jmm (the only top 10 p4p boxer around khan's weight class)

I'm not saying he could beat them all, just saying that's the road to p4p for khan.

hmm. taking into acount people who Khan will never fight in a million years and that it'll be an easier path for him than most:

    - Kotelnik (already signed)
    - Hatton (not a wholey unrealistic match-up)
    - Prescott (he will then be "unbested")
    - Valero (good name to hype up)

i think that's possible and i think that'll be enough to get a #10 spot or something

prescott and valero are virtual unknowns. they aren't even near the p4p top 15.

I dunno if a win over hatton will elevate his status. hatton/khan is just a passing of the torch deal.

if anyone wants to be p4p they gotta start unifying belts, winning belts at multiple weights or defeat a p4p top 10 boxer.

kotelink as the fight is already scheduled and he cant afford to lose
Hatton in Manchester in a domestic tear up
        Bradley for unification
JMM (late 2010) when hes older and beatable
Valero if he steps up weight class by 2011 and still has a 100% KO rating.

That should be enough for him to get in the top 10

        Cant see it happening though!

in 2 years if Valero still has a 100% KO rating he will most likely be well known

Either way he is going to have to face a fighter at some point who is just going to obliterate him. People like Kotelnik, Bradley and Hatton you can see him winning against maybe. But then he has to face Marquez or Valero and it would just be destruction.

i wouldnt be at all surprised if he beat Valero. Anyone around 140ish is easily capable of KOing him, they dont need Valeros power. Valero doesnt have the same all round skills as the others. If he keeps his defence tight, which he has to do against all opponents due to his chin, he could beat Valero.

the Hatton fight'll be a pretty big turning point if he wins that. It'll essentially be percieved as the statement "yes, Amir Khan is world class!"

Prescott, assuming he stays unbeaten, could be hyped up easily. Khan correcting his only faulter etc. Will do wonders for his hype

and Valero will be the young hungry fighter against the young hungry fighter. He may be a virtual unknown now, but if he's getting a bit of attention due to his KO run and if he signed to fight Khan he'd be a household name in Britain by the time the night of the fight came

i'm not saying that run of wins SHOULD get him a P4P spot. But i reckon it definitely could.

Khan is not your run of the mill prospect and, well, at the moment it's not exactly that difficult to get onto the tail end of the P4P list

                    Kotelnik
Witter (think hes fighting for the WBC soon?)
                    Old Nate
                    Old Marquez
                    Prescott

                    Easiest path IMO
