I dunno, he has some loyal ass fans.
I wouldn't doubt they would think twice about coming over to the U.S.A. again
after what happened this time around.
A lot of these people had been here for a week and spent lots of money for 6 minutes of ass whoopin.

for an occasion like a big fight, the fans make a proper holiday of it, go over for a week, get pissed and have fun, and then there is also a fight to go to (if your not too drunk by then). They go over for the atmosphere, the banter and to have fun. The fight is almost just an excuse to go to Vegas.

And? Where is the delusion in saying that Hatton doesn't do that kind of business Stateside without a BIG marquee name beside his (in response to someone else saying "Hatton is the draw")? My point was, you take Mayweather out of the equation, and the fight doesn't have as huge an appeal on both sides of the water unless you replace him with another BIG marquee name. My point beyond that was, this bickering over who the "draw" is is pathetic, because all these guys need each other.

The PPV numbers for Pacquiao Hatton are expected to reach 2 mil.
I think we all know who the draw was for Mayweather v. Hatton after this..
I also think it's safe to say that after Pacquiao Hatton, anything Pacquiao does will reach De La Hoya numbers.

Aside from a staggering $12 Million he earned for his two-round demolition of British Ricky Hatton (roughly 576 Million pesos) on Sunday, Pinoy icon Manny Pacquiao stands to earn more from the proceeds of pay-per-view sales of the fight.

The bout was distributed on pay-per-view by American cable network HBO, which according to USA Today, estimates that the fight could generate as much as two million buys.

That means that the fight should generate close to $100 Million after all revenues shall have been counted this week.

“We know based on those early numbers and based on experience the event will perform extremely well. If I had to guess, anywhere between 1.6 million and two million homes, which is a home run,” co-promoter Bob Arum said.

No figures were yet released as to how much Pacquiao will receive from the PPV take.

The all-time record for a pay-per-view event is the 2.4 million buys for Oscar De La Hoya's May 2007 battle with Floyd Mayweather Jr., which generated a staggering $134 million in revenue. All the other big pay-per-view numbers in the past were generated with Oscar De la Hoya fighting in all of them, making him the PPV king of all time.

Mayweather announced his return to the ring against Juan Manuel Marquez on the same day that Pacquiao faced Hatton at the MGM Grand.

Although Arum has mentioned Miguel Cotto and Shane Mosley as possible next fights for Pacquiao, fans are expected to make a public clamor for a Pacquiao-Mayweather fight should Mayweather defeat Marquez.
