Hatton : no longer punch resistant

I take nothing from Pac but those two knock downs in the first were not grteat punches and i feel a couple of years ago Ricky would have walked through them (like he has done so many times before....ref Tsyu et al)

I honestly believe his punch resistance has gone. He needs to retire before he gets damaged permanent.

That second round left punch that ko'd him though....resistance didn't come into it ....that was beautiful and would have ko'd Wlad (and if it hits Floyd he will go down for 10 as well)

Hatton was punchdrunk after Zoo, like Eric Morales eventually it takes its toll and shots begin to hurt.

The right hook may have dropped him, not the straight left. The short left hand that knocked him out was a beaut, but I think Hatton of five years ago would have taken it without a problem.

But I don't want to talk too much about what Hatton did or didn't do and just enjoy instead that we are witnessing the best fighter of his generation and a definite all time great in Manny Pacquiao.

It was more Pacs timing with the first knockdown. Hatton threw all his weight into his own punch but was caught with a great shot.

The second knockdown he had taken a few big shots and was hurt and unsteady, the punch that sent him down was blocked, but Hattons legs werent there.

The final KO was just perfect.

I think the last punch would have KO'd JMM, Barrera, and dropped Morales and even Oscar.
Hatton walked into it, but it was perfection.

Freddie Roach, Manny Pacquiao's trainer, said that the fight with Floyd Junior took a lot out of Hatton.

Roach didn't specify, but I think he meant punch resistance.

That final punch was reminicent of the one Tarver landed on Jones....perfect, timing, Hatton and Jones were just standing there like bags and Pac/Tarver swung for the fences with their heads down

Or maybe Hattons chin just was never as good as people hyped it to be? He was dropped by Eamonn Macgee and was in a life and death fight with just-about a european level fighter John Thaxton. Hatton was over-hyped time for people to realise that now, he earned more money than he ever should of and will have a great life. Fans should be happy for him.

That left hook removes him from his conciousness every time. Remember Tszyu's punches were being smothered. Collazo staggered Hatton not long after that fight. Was his punch resistance gone by then too?
