2009 is an Awesome Year For Boxing

Seems as if more and more boxers are putting everything out on the line as the decade comes to a close. 2009 has been great year for boxing. Not necessarily for casual fans. But for those that love the sport. We are only half way through. What has happened so far?

Trainers have really stepped up on their impact over fights
Just when I was beginning to think 90% of trainer's are not doing their job ringside. 10% surprised me with their awesome tactics and involvement in fights.

    Cheaters were exposed
Every play needs some villians, what's best is they were caught. it doesn't only happen in hollywood!!!

    Veterans prove experience priceless
In contrast others showed the wear and tear of age will do to you.

Fear has been thrown out the window (by a proud few)
People are getting knocked down.. and getting up! I don't mind if you get knocked out. Getting up after being knocked down 2/3 times takes heart. Rep

Rivalries have built up many matches
    Roach-Mayweather Paq-Juan

we only half way through! & they even talking about a pac-cotto christmas present. MCD'z: i'm loving it!

    My thoughts

    Marquez-Mayweather
Good fight matchup. I think Diaz was unfortunate to catch a nasty accidental headbutt. Marquez capitalized. It's experience that won that fight. I think money hungry Floyd will have a rude awakening to the skills of this cat. I can't see a fighter like floyd leaving this game undefeated. He has the skill and talent. But boxing, like basketball, is a sport of mentality. His eye is on money, not his opponent. I think he is thinking like Oscar, with the fact that Marquez has never fought at this weight before. I predict a 10/11 round fight in favor of marquez.

    Cotto-Pacman
I'm thinking this won't happen. At least this year. I think the Marquez win over Mayweather will beg for a trilogy to get on the way ASAP. The Fans have been waiting. Another year and people say that one was past his prime. If the Cotto-Pac Fight happens, it is very tough to say who wins. I Love Puerto Rico. I love cotto. But I'm favoring Paquiaou a little bit. Im not saying Cotto cant win. Here me out. Pac has the easier road to a victory. If Cotto works the body heavily and takes pac speed. Cotto wins. But paquiaou is not the easiest guy to catch. I think they are fairly even in a blow-for-blow type fight, because cotto is stronger, but pacman has the precision counter punches. Cotto is a switch hitter. Pac is a southpaw. If paquiaou comes well conditioned with a good game plan (he will). He has the edge. + we have yet to see what kind of impact the loss of Cotto's uncle will have on his fight. A positive one?!

    OMG The drama

i can't see PBF losing to smaller JMM. PAC over COTTO maybe!! PAC is the **** right now. If Pac wins one more BIG fight against either PBF or COTTO? He is the "GREATEST CHAMPION OF ALL TIME" ARMSTRONG, ROBINSON, ALI, MUST ALL TAKE A BACK SEAT TO THIS GREAT FIGHTER!!!!!!100X35...
