That is the fight everyone wants to see, especially me as a Dawson fan. All great fighters fight opponents that are necessary for credentials. Wladimir is doing it, Pacquiao has done it and is still doing it, Pavlik and Cotto are also doing it. What I mean is that they are consistent fighting often and fighting quality opponents.

Even though Tarver is a quality opponent it does not bring any credentials to Dawson's career. I want to one day say Dawson is in the league of Cotto, Pacquiao, and Wladimir. First things first, he needs to fight often, fight Glen Johnson again, and stop playing boxing politics.

Jeez, I can't believe how many people are so down on this fight. I'm not the biggest Tarver fan, but if he finds the swagger he had in the 2nd fight w/ RJJ, Chad may be in for a shock, or at least a tough night at the office. I love Dawson because he has mad skills, but will also mix it up, even when its not necessary. Also, after Tarver gets vanquished, the outcry for a Glencoffee rematch will hopefully be too loud to be ignored. (I can't imagine a hard-core fan of the sport not tuning in Saturday).

I'm a Tarver fan. Dawson finally got my respect in the first fight. I would say Tarver would definetly have a chance of the upset however he has gone back to Buddy McGirt for this fight which to me says he has no chance. I would much rather see a Glenn Johnson fight however. I was 30 rows from the ring for their first meeting, and have watched it two or three times on tv. Dawson lost that fight!!!
