Is Jermain Taylor a shot fighter

I ve never been a taylor fan but, i couldnt help but feel sorry for dude after he got ko'd by froch, I thought he was really poised to take over 168, but the two loses to pavlik must have really left him a broken fighter, I really think JT should hang em up

I am a Taylor fan, and no, he doesn't need to hang 'em up. What he needs is a way to improve his conditioning. He's got heart, talent, power, skill, speed....but he may have gotten screwed genetically by the conditioning fairy. I know his trainers have said in that past that he's a hard worker, so it's probably going to be incredibly difficult (if it's even possible) for him to bring his conditioning up to a level where he can go a hard 12 with guys for whom it comes much easier, like Froch, Pavlik, and especially Calzaghe. Either that, or he's going to have to start head hunting and learning to close the show when gets his man hurt, like he invariably does.

Anyway, I like the kid, he's got heart, he's humble, and he's (usually) exciting. One of my favorites, whether he wins or not.

He's not shot he jus has stamina issues and his defense needs a lotta work. When he gets tired he neglects defense. He better master tying ppl up.

Taylors a nice guy. but after this last fight he might never be the same fighter again. I felt he should've clinched in the last round, but he still try to box with froch, but he didn't have much left which helped froch counter attack him. That last round really hurt him not only for that fight, but for his whole career.

he's not shot. just needs to work on his stamina. Had the froch fight been a 10 rounder, he would have won comfortably.

Since he was beaten by Pavlik I always got the impression that Taylor lost all his motivation. After picking up the W's from Hopkins and being a champion, his goals were complete. Nowadays he appears to lack any kind of burning desire. It's a shame because Taylor seems like a good guy and can be an exceptional fighter at times.

He needs to go back to fighting 4, 6 & 8 round fights.

                    He would do very well!
