If Pacquiao tries that wild **** Floyd will turn his head into a pinata...

Not me personally. The Pacquiao ****riding was getting a lil ridiculous. Pac top 30 all time with a very good resume(not great). I don't agree with that. I gave Manny his props.Actually, I do, I just don't swing from one mans balls and make every excuse in the book for him not to fight someone.
If I didn't understand much of the game of boxing,
why is Pernell Whitaker one of my all time favorites?
Why do I have that same Pernell absolutely giving Chavez the clinic of his life?
Why do I admire fighters such as Evander Holyfield and Roberto Duran?
Could it be because time after time, they constantly fought the best possible opponents?
Or is it because they are Mexican?
Or is it because I'm a Mexican fan?
Bottom line, Floyd fans are hurt by the success Manny has shown not only in the ring, but the success of bringing the sport back to the limelight.
Here we are, Tuesday evening. I just got back from my sons baseball game.
Guess what the coaches from both teams were talking about in between innings?
It wasn't strategy.
Floyd fans wanted Floyd to be the one to turn the sport upside down with his success. He had his chance and didn't want to make it happen.
Manny did, took full advantage and has KOd his way to the limelight.
Floyd wishes it was one of his fights that were talked about like that.
Its burning you dudes inside.
Get a ****ing grip and appreciate what Manny is doing inside the ring versus what Floyd is talking about outside of it.Comment

You do realize that none of what you posted replies anything that El Jesus said in the other thread or what I wrote here
Good for you but how is that relevant? Considering this is a thread about another thread where someone said "Mayweather is skilled, we are not likely to see anyone skilled like him anytime soon if again" Where the **** are excuses about resume in the statement? I am curious...
You don't understand much about this sport, because you don't see something that has been going on for a while now. Average skills of fighters going down. Nothing to do with "constantly fighting the best possible opponents".If I didn't understand much of the game of boxing,

Mickey Ward could fight god, and it would not make him a skilled fighter.
If tomorrow there was a fighter with an iron chin, immense power, endless stamina, uncanny speed and unified every weight class by swinging his hands around and knocking out people, whole not feeling their punches, it would not be a skilled fighter you understand that? power, speed, stamina, chin are not skills. Ask Roy Jones.
Yes there is plenty of idiots like that, it must be really bother you, if you accuse people like EJ and me (who never done anything like it) of doing it.
So you talk about Mayweather all the time, and you even know how he feels and what he wishes. How is that realted to Mayweather's -or anyone's- skills. Here we are, Tuesday evening. I just got back from my sons baseball game.

What kind of information does it bring to the table, beyond you being obsessed with him?
I am sure there is plenty of ppl you can address this remark to but
a) find a post by me (or EJ for the matter) which suggests that Manny does not go appreciated
b) it's ironic that you would tell anyone to look at what happens inside a ring after you spend all your time talking about who ducks who and never paid attention to what happes in a ring, which is ultimately why it's clear that you don't know a goddam thing about the sport.Comment

Considering the title of his thread had Mayweather in it and his importance to the sport, it has everything to do with it. Especially considering the timing of his thread is right on the heels of Pacs victorious night.
With that, everything I've stated is true, tried and tested. There are skilled fighters here, there and everywhere. Just because Mayweather fights in a style that is based on safety doesn't mean hes the only one with skills. Just means hes the only one who uses that style. I see skilled fighters all the time. I just don't have my head up Mayweathers ass pretending hes the best boxer ever simply because he has a 0 at the end of his loss column.
Now, I'm going to pretend I'm you.
"you don't understand anything the sport".
Gee, that was easy. I feel so superior now.
Anyways, if I cared about what happened outside of the ring,
you'd see me post about it.
I care about the fights inside of it. Not the money, not the negotiating ploys, not the fighters bank account.
If a fighter is ducking matches the fans want to see, I'll comment on it.
But you wouldn't know anything about that because, "you don't know anything about the sport".
Damn, thats fun. I'm going to start using that line anytime someone doesn't agree with me. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
Oh yea,
you don't know anything about the sport.
I won't be a ***** like your buddy and put you on ignore though.
I'll leave you room to comment back if you'd like.
But yea,
you don't know anything about the sport.
If you two don't like what I write, don't read it.
I rarely read yours to begin with.Comment

a few things won't go unobserved.
1) You are unable to answer to the point, because you have no point.
2) You are unable to comment what happens in a ring (and my guess is that it is because you don't understand it), and hence you keep going about the same stuff.
3) you are keeping on assuming. Mayweather is not skilled because he likes to be on the defensive, He is skilled because he can fight in many different ways. Roberto Duran liked to attack, but he could also fight in other ways (Hagler, Barkley...).
Then there are fighters whose games is 90% attack or 90% defense, but they are so immensely good at it that they are worth mentioning. JC Chavez could not fight in all possible ways, but his attack was subtle and his avoiding the big shots on the inside was plenty enough to rank him fairly high on skills. Nicolino Locche was super defensive minded
4) Here is a thread in which the decline in skills is also discussed, a long time before Hatton-Pacman.
A good number of ppl, have Mayweather in their top 5 most skilled fighters they have seen on TV, and guess what... he is usually the youngest of the list... hmmm... what was the other thread you keep on bashing about? Exactly the same thing. Oh I am sorry there was Mayweather in the title, then it must be fans with sour g****s...
You could start reading that to see a discussion where ppl talk about "boxing" not about "ducking".
And yeah you can tell me I don't know the sport as much as you like, but the fact that I can talk about it, while you have to restrain yourself to talking about "ducking" and "being a warrior" and "taking on all comers" with your deepest analysis being "KO" and "safety first" is apparent.
class dismissed.Comment
