    Floyd failed miserably this weekend

He tried to steal Manny's thunder by announcing his comeback a few hours before the Super Fight this Saturday. He made some buzz around the boxing world, but just a few hours later, Manny Pacquiao SHOCKED everyone with his devastating single punch KO of Ricky Hatton and Floyd Mayweather soon became an afterthought. With the win, Manny not only erased any doubts as to his #1 P4P ranking, but must now be considered one of the greatest fighters of all time. So yeah, Floyd made some noise with his comeback announcement, but Manny squashed that **** with his amazing performance in the ring this past Saturday night.

Yea, Mayweather definitely picked the wrong time to announce his comeback.

    EPIC FAIL by Floyd

Amongst intelligent fans of boxing, Pac made bigger waves. But Mr boat buyer put himself in a position where his name was inevitably gonna get at least some attention. Bsrizpac had a good thread on this.

the good thing about pac is he delivers in the ring
and thats the important thing. we dont need mayweather
saying he's going to fight toe to toe and then
end up dancing around the ring for 12 rounds - lol
he's actually like his father the self proclaimed world's greatest trainer. lol

                NO HE DIDN'T:

Once that fight was finished people started to talk about a possible Mayweather vs. Pac fight. Even on ESPN shows they were talking about this match-up. Friends and associates I know started to talk about the match-up and most aren't even boxing fans like me.

All he needed was to start the ball rolling.

And, to top it off, people are going to tune into his fight to see where he is at in his career. That's also why he picked JMM. Watch how much he promotes the JMM vs. Manny fights being so close.

In fact, the best possible thing happened: Pac knocked Hatton out early and I mean out cold. Now people will look to Pac to take Floyd's "O" and more people will tune in for that reason. Pac's the good guy right now and Floyd is the bad guy. I wonder though if Floyd will change characters again or stick with the bad guy roll.

Jr. will do better in the ring, though.

I agree.. I dont think he failed. Mayweather came out at the perfect time and pick the perfect fight vs JMM. This is a setup for the best fight ever.. PAC vs Money May..

He just needs to get past JMM.. Also I think Mayweather plays the perfect bad guy.. I hate him cause he such a ****ing prick.. But I respect his skills in the ring.
