Hmmm The problem with JMM is that he takes too many shots early in the fight, so that could be a problem

I'd have picked Marquez to T/KO Hatton.

if you talk to most boxing people theyll tell you the same, manuel marquez is still number 1 or 1a with pacboy.....whoever beats marquez becomes #1.....

This is how I look at it, Pacquiao hits a lot harder than Marquez, although Marquez is pretty strong himself. Marquez does not have the footwork of Pacquiao to move out the way Pacquiao does, plus Ricky Hatton is a lot stronger than Juan Diaz and Diaz bullied Marquez the whole fight and pushed him on the ropes the whole fight. I'd say Hatton beats Marquez but you can never count Marquez out, he is a very precise puncher and Ricky is very open.

Based on his accuracy, I think Marquez could have stopped Hatton via late TKO, but in no way shape or form would he have been toying with Hatton, and he sure as hell wouldn't have stretched him in 8 rounds let alone 2.

come on man pac and marquez have two very different styles. pac can destroy opponents fairly quick and one sided, marquez has a more patient style which leads to closer fights. marquez does not have the power to do what pac does so get over it.
