Bat I tell you the truth after what PACMAN did to Oscar at 147 to see JMM fight at 145 and win is not out of the question. JMM is a determined fighter with a high level skill set. It is not like Floyd is fighting David Diaz. he is fighting the man who is most menacing to the man right now and that man is PACMAN. To think that Floyd would beat PACMAN easily is as our english fans would say rubbish. JMM is not going to be a walk in the park after coming off an 18 month layoff. There is no more divisions Bat just a bunch of cowboys out to make a buck. there aren't any belts in fact there are too many belts now thw only ones that matter is the Ring and P4P label. Fighters aren't fighting for the WBc or the WBA they are fighting for PPV buys and P4P labels. We are dinosaurs my friend if we think we are going to see unified champions and fighters cleaning out weight classes like the olden days. Boxing has elvolved. the new boxing is filled with catch weight matches of house hold names trying to make a bid for the buk and get you to press that little blue buy button on your remote. Money may aint no different. JMM on the other hand is a man possesed on a mission to prove he is the best. he wants to prove that he best Pacman 2 times already and that he is the best P4P and to me I think he will not lay down as easily as we all seem to think. Question is will he have the fire power to hurt Floyd? Well have we ever really seen Floyd hurt or hit with a clean shot?....Lefty
AS far as I recollect the first fighter who played the PPV weight game was Ray Leonard with his extraordinary demands to Donny Lalonde. I could be (and likely is) wrong here but that's the fight I'm thinking off.Comment

Sensible post from you again lefty. I just dont fancy JMM's chances at all. I think it will be a huge upset if JMM wins. I wonder what the odds will be on this fight? Have you seen any? I'm thinking 4 or 5 to 1.

I read up on it Bat and it looks like it is 3-1 odds in favor of Floyd right now. 3-1 aint that bad for Marquez considering everything. I would throw 100 bucks on Marquez to make back 300....Lefty

wut leonard did was BS. he made lalonde come in 168 to defend his LHW title, below his title wieght. leonard also won the newly created super mw title. he won two titles in two eight classes in one fight. complete crap.
this is kinda crappy too. JMM has no chance, if floyd want to fight a WW, than fight a WW. or at least come down to 140.Comment

When you look pass the money, Mayweather and even the former P4P king Roy Jones are actually truer to pure boxing than most big names in the sport. These two fighters are actually marketed for their skill set, not their personalities. De La Hoya on the other hand, sells his Pay-Per-Views based on personality and charm alone, not boxing ability. Is this why we watch boxing, to see personalities joust or skills clash? When you pay to see Floyd, the expectation is that you will see the best skills in boxing. When you pay to see Oscar, there are no expectations, he could win or lose with no penalty. If Mayweather or Jones lose a fight, they lose everything. They are burdened with having to be perfect. The repercussions of Jones' losses to Tarver and Johnson is the perfect example of why Mayweather knows he can't lose. If he were to be defeated, proponents and detractors in this “unforgiving sport” would attempt to destroy everything he has fought for.
