Whom ever said that the HBO commentating crew was flat

I remember some one saying that commentating done by HBO was flat. I was trying to get some sound bytes last night to make a video and there are not any that stand out. (Pac vs Hatton)

1- They need to get rid of Emmanuel Steward
2.-Merchant also has to move over and only do interviews (even though he ****** during the interviews after the fight)
2- Not to keen on Max Kellerman either.


Some one mantioned Joe Tessitore and I agree, he would compliment the sometimes flat Lampley.

PS have you ever watched those old black and white videos on ESPN classic? The ones where the crowd noise is added in and the commentator sounds like he is reading a book? HBO sounded like this on Saturday. TERRIBLE!

Yes but he needs a leash. I can just imagine how many funny sound bytes we would get out of this. He needs his own show, he is a whole seperate entitiy.

I would like to see Mikey Tyson, Ray Leonard, and Roy Jones replace all three. If they need a fill in, like Kellerman, they can replace him with Mark Walberg (I know terrible, but they were both former rappers).

Steward is the only commentator they have who is actually able to dissect the fight and break it down in a reasonably intelligant manner. I wouldn't want to see him go personally.

Here's a thought: Why not replace Steward with Teddy Atlas and Kellerman with Enzo Calzaghe
