Hearns got brutally KO'd by Leonard and Hagler. Does that diminish Tommy?

And I agree with Dios. Ricky did all he could do. It's not his fault that he is a notch below the top guys.

I just wish he would talk less before these big fights.

Hatton got caught by some very hard punches from Pac. He got up. Twice. Only a devastating left hand (punch of the year) kept him down.

Ricky Hatton went up against the best, and went out on his shield. Twice. And he always tried to keep fighting. Until the end. I personally dislike the guy, but I have to respect his heart and effort. Ricky tried to get his William Wallace on.

It reminds me of another guy who I didn't like - Fernando Vargas. Tito was tooling him up. Those punches were wicked - from one of the best punchers of this generation. He went down twice in the 12th round. The fight was already lost. Nando kept trying to the very end. Against Oscar, he took punches and tried to fight. He went out like a true Aztec Warrior. Much props for that.

Guys like that may not be the best fighters. but they sacrifice a lot. Just give them their respect for trying to fight through a lot of pain.
Unlike maricons like that puta from Caguas, Cotto, or that weepy brasilena Freitas.

            ****, Manny is class.
Peep the way that his right glove is against his cheek when he throws the left, and the left comes instinctively back to his cheek to protect from the counter.

            Shane Mosley can't do that.

But yeah... mad props to Hatton. He went out on his shield. Went out swinging.

                BUMP thread.

Agree. Said it in his defense the other day, Hatton got up the 2 times he could. His heart is one of his best qualities.
