Imagine how many more buys Tyson's ppv's would've drawn in? Or how about the Tito/Oscar fight? I personally think that Tyson/Holyfield would still hold the ppv record if it not had been for illegal cable.

I can remember when fight time came back in those days, people would be praying that the cable company didnt send out a bullit and knock out the video feed for those who were watching the fight on illegal "fixed" boxes.

Those were the good old days!

My homey used to be a cable install guy. He got the free hookup, so he always hosts our fight parties.

Since the switch from analog to digital cable, its not as easy. I've heard of people having illegal boxes, but with the digital, they dont last long. Maybe a month if you're lucky.

Hell Yeah, I used to watch the fights on the hot box in the 80's . Tyson Spinks, Chaves Whitaker. Everyone had it in those days. Back when there was no internet.

Probably. But you have to remember how many people now stream fights instead of ordering them.

I streamed Pac-Hatton for free and it was much more enjoyable then paying $55 for Pac-Oscar.

Tyson Holyfield was a big fight probably bigger in America the normal general public knew it was happening.

Most definitely. Cablevision started broadcasting using a higher frequency (frying those "chips")...... LOL
