Hatton is a champion who will be missed

Anyone who says otherwise isn't a boxing fan!!

When he retires boxing will miss him, he has carried boxing in England for the last 4-5 years and he deserves alot more respect them he's being given. He has given boxing some brilliant nights, has anyone seen a better/bigger build up to his fight then the Mayweather one?

He may have fell short at the final hurdle to 2 of the best boxers i've ever seen but he's still a top class champion and to call him otherwise is so disprespectful!

I just love Manny and if Hatton was going to loose to anyone i wanted it to be him, i don't think there's a nicer bloke in boxing. How he was managed to stay living in the Phillippines is amazing and the respect he showed during the build up was brilliant. It made the loss that little bit easier to take.

Whatever Hatton decides to do it's HIS decision, no-one should tell him to retire other then for reasons for his health. He still deserves one last big fight imo, give him Bradley at wembley. It would be a 100k sell out.

Also i think one of the reason Hatton lost on Saturday was he thought he could take Pacs punches, he was trying to walk through them to land one of his own. I think he read too much into the 'I'm bigger, stronger then him' when actually he was probaly smaller and just as strong. i dunno but maybe the lack of weight training affected his strength? i know he got rid of kerry kayes when he sacked graham and he did look alot different before the weigh in. i mean look at the pictures of his weigh in pic and then 2 days later at the pool party...his abs have totally dissapeared!

Who cares about a build up, that is just the boxing hype machine. He is just a big let down.

How is he a hype machine? He won world titles ffs, people like Khan is a hype machine. Not someone who worked himself up from nothing to winning a world title and beating one of the p4p kings.

Hatton is Khan on a larger scale

better, yes. But an even more out of sync hype train

personally i won't miss Hatton at all and seeing him KTFO (again) brought me guilty sadistic pleasure

It seems like you'd be the one to ask around here:

What does Ricky's spunk taste like? Seems like you've chugged a lot of it.

You people are ridiculous in your defense of a mediocre fighter such as Hatton. The only reason he's mentioned is he is British. He might've carried British boxing during his time, but I'd say that's a huge, depressing fact and not something to be proud of.

So medicore fighters go unbeaten for 44 fights do they? Hatton always fought the best, beat some of the best and was a world champions and the best fighter in the world at 140 for some time.

He was a top quality fighter, losing to the best doesn't make him ****. He deserves alot better then some keyboard warriors slating him for a loss to Manny.

Brits will miss him no doubt. I do wish more fighters would go after the best and dare to be gr8 tho. Respect to him for that.

He's nothing like Khan, Khan has had hype and support from day one whereas Hattons gone from fighting infront of 10 fans to taking 25,000 to America and how did he do it? By winning fights and climbing the ladder.

He's hyped because he beat some of the best, Khans hyped because of the olympics and he's a cash cow.

In 3years time i won't be suprised to see all 2008 british olympians with perfect records...and they'll get hyped again.
