This is an article from today quoting roach..http://www.manilastandardtoday.com/?...rts1_may5_2009

Roach was also not prepared to allow Pacquiao to consider fighting Cotto at 147 pounds, even though the Pacman mauled Oscar de la Hoya at that same weight, because Cotto presented bigger problems.

But Lance Pugmire of the Los Angeles Times quoted Roach as saying: “If Cotto wants to come down a few pounds, we can make that happen or we can go with Shane Mosley [the reigning 147-pound champion].”

Miguel has stated numerous times that he aint go south of 147 for nobody. And in the article it does say he is willing to go down in weight, it only says that the weight wont be a problem. Meaning a lot of things.

So whenever Miguel says that he will go down in weight Ill believe it!!!!!!!!!!

Great news, Cotto needs to be reasonably sensible about his weight loss and he should be fine.

Exactly and you or ANYBODY on their right mind thinks Cotto will let the weight come between him and a paid day like this? Of course not, Cotto will drop to 145 or 144 and make it happen, you can tell by the way he respond it to the reporter from ENDI.COM!

Then if Pac moves up and lose, then it's a no problem since he's had a good career already.

                BUT!!

If Pac wins fair and square in 147, especially if it's an upset..

                Then:

Pacquiao Aims for Seven (and Five): Real History Part X is a dream come true for any boxer.

                Plus, ATG Top 5 instant.

PS: Tbh, Cotto fight is actually better than Mayweather fight for Pac because Mayweather ain't got any belts right now. Just money?
they can make a gentleman's agreement that cotto don't come in higher than a limit.

even at a catch weight of 143-144 , it's still welterweight so the title can still be up for grabs.
If that's true then Lets Get Ready to Rumble..

Manny, dont bother about Floyd.. If you did,
                :gay:

                      but 140...pac made him KO
