    What will Floyd be like?

Please leave your opinions on how you think the Marquez fight will play out and how will you think the Lay-off will affect Mayweather? Do you think he will show much ring rust? leave your thoughts.

    Cheers

Here is how I see the fight going on July 18.

Floyd will come out strong, seeking to send a message to Pacquiao. He'll tag Marquez with straight rights making him miss the retaliation of counter-punches.

When Floyd makes it clear that he's faster than Marquez and can counter punch better he'll start bullying Marquez around the ring, landing 40% of his power punches. Marquez who is 36 years old and has had to move up 2 weight divisions for the fight will not carry up the weight well and be considerably slower and less powerful. It will not look like the same Marquez who had been in 2 wars with p4p #1 Pacquiao. At about round 7, it will be clear Mayweather is controlling the fight. He'll be tagging Marquez with a speedy jab and counter right hooks. Marquez will have no answer to Floyd's accurate punches. Floyd's defense is too quick and Marquez is too slow. It is clear that Floyd is the bigger, faster and more skilled man.

About round 9-10 Marquez's corner will be looking to stop the fight. It is clear Marquez is not the same man who fought at 130-135. By this point Marquez himself will be frustrated that he can't land any clean blows. If his corner does not stop the fight from the 10-12 round, Marquez will be knocked out by a quick devastating counter right hook, sending Marquez sprawling to the canvas. He'll get up at 7 count and Floyd will spring back on him landing every punch he throws, cracking through Marquez's defense. The referee either stops the fight or his corner throws in the towel.

This is not set in stone since Marquez is an elite fighter and might come up with a few surprises for the fight. I really don't see what he can do, but nothing is impossible

I don't see ring rust bothering Floyd much. The man is a gym rat and a hard worker.

He left in his prime. I don't think he will be too rust, at least not rusty enough to be exploited by a lightweight.

There may be some ring rust but that will be negligible and Mayweather would adjust to it. As to the fight itself, it would probably be a very defensive fight with Marquez being the more aggressive one.

I doubt the layoff has much affect on Floyd, He trains all the time.

I think Floyd will be more aggressive because he knows he's the bigger man. he will use his lead right and left hook often. Marquez won't carry the extra weight well imo and will likely lose a clear decision.

3 or 4 rounds in he finds his feet and starts his A Game...

Either a beating for the distance for Marquez or he gets clocked cold with a counter
            and gets stopped late on...

i think marquez may get stopped, juan diaz was nailing marquez a lot in their fight, and diaz doesnt hit as fast or as hard as floyd, marquez will definitely hit the canvas a few times

Floyd is known to abuse his body when not fighting, o wait...

He'll be the same Mayweather that put Hatton to rest, or even better.
