Ricky should fight Junior Witter in a mega-fight then retire.

Lennox Lewis got KTFO twice to inferior fighter (Pac and Floyd were heavy favorites against Hatton) and still went on to have a pretty solid career. I don't get the people that say you should retire after a loss. When Hatton looses to a B or C level fighter then he should retire, but as long as he can beat the other top JWW's, I see no reason for Ricky to retire unless he no longer is hungry!
If he still has the hunger then I agree, but, it would be hard to imagine that the hunger is still there now after that KO.
One of the main reasons why I like Hatton is that he makes an effert to fight the best. He fought 3 elite fighters, and lost badly to 2 of them. He must know now that he's just not good enugh to beat the best of the best, and that was his last remaining goal, he's achieved everything else.
Do you think he still has the hunger to go through 12 week training camps anymore? I would doubt it. But then again, only Ricky can answer that.

Hatton is only 30 years old...he got beaten by Money May and PACMAN not two slouches by any means. he has beaten Top level competition and he can beat some more. h ejust got caught early by PACMAN is all it happens it is boxing. Oscar knows better than you or me how it is too lose a fight and feel the way hatton feels right now second guessing his decisions in and out of the ring leading up to the fight and during the fight. It is hard to end a excellent carrer on a loss or a bad note and Ricky can still bring some excitment to the world of boxing. I would love to see him fight Bradley or Witter. Come on fellas we have to remember what the game is about and Oscar knows the game he has played it better then anyone. I do not think he is trying to just cash in because he aint the only one that would be bringing in the $$$ if Hatton fights again....Lefty

I agree. But to a fighter that's a hard pill to swallow.

I would watch Hatton/Valero, Hatton/Tim Bradley, Hatton/Berto, hell....give Collazo a rematch, he cracked the egg 1st! Sell out at Wembley with your old trainer back as a reunion of the old Hatton! He would never have to leave home after all of his loses were in the states. If he has fans then entertain them.
