Pacquiao-Cotto Talks To Further in June, Says Arum

If a fight between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto were to take place, it's being said that a catch-weight between 140 and 147-pounds would have to be agreed upon. Bob Arum of Top Rank, who promotes both fighters, says the negotiations for the fight will not get serious until the weekend of June 13, when Cotto defends his WBO welterweight title against Joshua Clottey at New York's Madison Square Garden. Pacquiao will be sitting ringside for the fight. [details]

If this comes to fruition, which I believe it will, not only is Arum wasting a bunch of money, but it means that Floyd fights Marquez and Mosley before ending his career.

Not only would he not do business with Arum because of their history, but definitely so after Arum screws the boxing world of the biggest fight since Ali-Frazier III.

I always see you talking ****** about floyd fighting smaller fighter(marquez), but ur supporting cotto-pacquiao fight at 147? you are a hypocrite, pacquiao came up from under 120 pounds, at least marquez came up heavier than that, and at least floyds fighting the catchweight (143-144) so if this fight gets made why not a catch weight? cuz cotto will be weight drained? cotto fans always give excuses
